‘Spirit of Christmas’ Handmade & Vintage Fair

Ramsgate Town Centre – King Street, Queen Street and High Street

For a second year running Coast magazine has nominated the Ramsgate Christmas Fair as one of the top 10 in the country – and this year we’re hoping that everyone will enjoy a really traditional fair, with lots to buy, local produce, yummy hot food, mulled wine and mince pies and choirs to entertain us all, on Sunday 4 December in Ramsgate town centre.

Each year the Christmas Handmade & Vintage Fair raises money for the summer’s Ramsgate Festival. So, all profits will go towards creating another fantastic festival for everyone to enjoy.

Our line up on Sunday includes music from Einstein’s Children (11am), Thanet Community Gospel Choir (12pm), Blend (1.30 & 2.30pm) and the Cantate Chamber Choir (3.30pm), all hosted by Mr Ralph Hoult.

The German Sausage Hut and Lola & Company provide us with lovely hot food and drinks. Ramsgate Arts is running a mulled wine & mince pie stall and a tombola, helped by Miss Ramsgate and her Court.

In Harbour Street, Arts In Ramsgate are running craft workshops and at Archive on the harbour, Robert Poulter presents his model theatre show The Great Storm of 1703 for families, at 3pm.

The most important part of a Christmas Fair is having lots of lovely things to buy as gifts and decorations for the festive season. We have so many great stalls, all local makers and artists, with everything from felt baubles to reindeer, glass decorations to stunning handmade cards, sweets in baubles, chocolates, jewellery and table decorations. There are gifts galore and every penny spent goes straight to the people who have made the goods.

Everyone has donated their services and we’re so happy to have their support.

So, don’t let everyone stand there shivering on 4 December, please come along, have some traditional entertainment and enjoy the Spirit of Christmas with us all in Ramsgate town!
