Festival Club

The Festival Club is for everyone who is either a practising artist or craftsperson  or interested in the arts. The monthly sessions are run by Ramsgate Arts and offer an opportunity to meet people with similar interests and maybe, eventually, hatch some plans together. It’s an informal session – drinks and snacks are available, and there’s usually a talk or short piece of work by someone – which may promote discussion. There’s also an opportunity to broadcast any forthcoming arts events to people who are interested in creative work.

It’s a sociable thing – everyone welcome – held on the last Thursday of the month at 8.00pm at the Small Boat Owners Club on Guildford Lawn, Ramsgate, next door to the library.

The next Festival Club session is 31st May 2012:

Loki, Norse God, Trickster, Shape-Shifter, Trouble-Maker, is storyteller Emily Parrish’s latest obsession. Together with musician, Filipe Gomes, she is creating her first ever (eek) full length storytelling performance which follows the trail of both destruction and friendship that Loki leaves behind.

Emily (and hopefully Filipe!) will be sharing a short story from the piece, which will premier at A Summer Squall Festival this year.

Attention musicians, poets, storytellers and singers!
